Sanjay Patra is Executive Director, Financial Management Service Foundation, a development resource organization from the last 6 years. He holds a Masters degree in Commerce, is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and MDP at IIM, Calcutta on “Management of Non-Profit and Non-Government organizations”.

Involved with the NGO sector for the last 16 years, Mr. Patra has been a resource person and a trainer in Financial Management, legal compliance and governance in NGOs and has facilitated many workshops in India and abroad. He is the editor of the quarterly newsletter ‘Interface’ published by FMSF. This mainly provides information on finance, legal regulations and governance of NGOs. He has published two books on behalf of FMSF - Legal and Finance Handbook for Voluntary Organisations and Manual of Financial Management and Legal Regulations. He has wide experience of NGO governance being associated with many NGOs. He has extensively traveled in every nook and corner of India and world wide and has been associated with evaluations of many development projects on behalf of various agencies.
