Swaraaj Chauhan
Swaraaj Chauhan is a Senior Editor with Asian Affairs, a London-based monthly magazine. He is also Visiting Professor at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), New Delhi, and has been teaching 'development journalism' to mid-career journalists from Asia, Africa, East Europe and South America for nearly seven years.
A former Trainer/Mentor with BBC World Service Trust, Swaraaj Chauhan started his journalistic career with The Hindustan Times, New Delhi. He also worked with The Statesman newspaper. He was Senior Assistant Editor with The Tribune, Chandigrah, for 14 years.
Owing to his keen interest in environment conservation, Swaraaj Chauhan joined Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF-India), India's biggest NGO, as a media consultant. His area of specialisation is development/environmental journalism, media freedom and media ethics.
